Programme Description

Dr Iain Brew, GP with a special interest in substance misuse, describes his role and answers questions on prevention and management of addiction to alcohol, illegal drugs and prescription medications in primary care. Key learning points include use of brief intervention for harmful drinking, strategies for use of potentially addictive prescription drugs, and the risk of hepatitis C.
