Dr Helen Goodyear describes the diagnosis and management of four common skin conditions affecting young children: atopic eczema, impetigo, hand, foot and mouth disease and measles and morbilliform rashes.
After taking this activity, GPs and other healthcare professionals should be better able to:
Identify and diagnose common skin diseases affecting young children
Be aware of differential diagnoses of common conditions
Manage common childhood skin infections
Be aware of complications and secondary infections associated with such conditions
