Safe, ethical practice

Online resources supporting professional practice in primary care

These learning resources for GPs and other members of the primary care team aim to support and guide healthcare professionals to deliver safe, ethical clinical care.

The Safe, ethical practice learning plan, created in association with the MDU, provides articles on key medico-legal and ethical aspects of GPs' clinical work. Articles cover preventing and managing problems that can lead to complaints and claims against GPs and other primary healthcare professionals.

Each article contains expert opinion on key topics relating to clinical care and communication with patients and is accompanied by a post-test of knowledge.

Completing articles enables you to claim a suggested 0.5 CPD credits per article, although if you spend more time auditing and improving your practice in this area, you can record more credits.1
