Programme Description

Dr Graham Johnston provides a strategy for dealing with atopic dermatitis and child eczema including identification, advice for parents and management with emollients and other therapies.

This module, based on a presentation at MIMS Clinical Update 2016, is delivered in an audiovisual format. You can play the presentation at a time to suit you, pause and continue as needed. A CPD certificate is awarded for completing this module.

  • Be aware of the prevalence of eczema in different ethnic groups
  • Consider associations between food sensitivity and eczema
  • Advise patients on how long childhood eczema is likely to last
  • Reflect on the possible causes of recurrent infection in eczema
  • Reflect on management with emollients and other therapies including calcineurin inhibitors
