ECG acquisition and interpretation in primary care is the focus of this learning plan for GPs and nurses. In four linked articles, cardiology consultants Dr Ravi Assomull and Dr Sayan Sen introduce a 10-step system for acquiring and interpreting ECGs.

Each 1-credit article includes illustrative ECG traces and a post-test to assess knowledge. As well as discussing lead placement, axis, rate and rhythm, the articles highlight abnormal ECG readings including those associated with ischaemia.
