Programme Description

This video module looks at current thinking in eczema, focusing on effective management using topical treatments, particularly emollient therapy.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, healthcare professionals should be better able to:
  • Discuss confidently the epidemiology and aetiology of eczema
  • Educate patients about the mechanisms behind their condition
  • Advise patients on avoiding triggers and replacing soap with emollient-based products
  • Devise effective management plans for patients with eczema, tailoring use of emollients, steroids and other therapies as needed
