Programme Description

Dr Ranjan Suri discusses diagnosis and management of cystic fibrosis and potential complications including lung infections. This educational module for primary healthcare professionals offers learning points on pancreatic insufficiency, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, dietary advice and dietary supplements.

  • Describe the natural history of cystic fibrosis
  • Decide whether administration of antibiotics is appropriate
  • Identify complications of cystic fibrosis that need urgent review by the multidisciplinary team of specialist health professionals
  • Provide shared care with the specialist multidisciplinary team for patients in the advanced stages of cystic fibrosis
